How We Got Here

THEN – With a deep desire to provide professional, personalized service for families in their greatest time of need, Joseph Vertin, Sr., founded Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge, Minnesota, in 1904. His son, Joe, became widely respected for business knowledge, but Joe’s primary concern remained offering the very best care for the members of his community.

NOW – Since then, ownership has passed to Joe’s son, Tom, and Vertin has become one of the largest privately held, family-owned funeral home companies in the Midwest. The Vertin Family Tradition refers to the unwavering commitment to our communities and the belief that families are better served through cooperation, not competition.
