As an integral part of the team, the IT Sales Consultant is the principal point of contact between Digital Guru and its customers. In this role, you would maintain positive relationships with current customers by offering support and ensuring satisfaction. You would also create opportunities to engage with new customers by identifying new markets and customer leads.

Along with a solid understanding of technology systems and networks, excellent communication skills are required to be successful in this position. We’re also looking for someone who brings proven sales experience and a knack for organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell Digital Guru products and services.
    • Promote, market, and sell integrated security, access control, video surveillance system installations, printers, computers, service contracts and other low voltage solutions.
  • Cultivate customer relationships, deliver effective proposals, and negotiate contracts to capture profitable new business.
    • Find and engage with new customers through referrals, networking, and cold calling.
    • Assist the Tech and Install teams in guiding secured new business and projects to successful completion.
  • Build real and lasting relationships with existing customers.
    • Identify new areas of opportunity and negotiate sales for mutual benefit.
  • Ensure proposals, objectives, and deliverables maximize operating profit and revenue growth.
  • Perform necessary surveys of premises and interpret documents, plans, and specifications to determine project requirements and costs, and assess cost effectiveness and profitability.
  • Explain operation of new product after installation.
  • Coordinate between the customer and the organization.
    • Ensure an ongoing dialogue of effective communication so as to adhere to the collective business goals.
      • Establish and meet realistic timelines and communication of said timelines to the customer.
    • Establish and maintain customer pricing consistent with the organization’s objectives.
  • Create and execute successful execution plans.
    • Guide internal teams in the execution of projects.
  • Maintain correct and complete records of all sales related activities.
    • Prepare and submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales reports to management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

BA/BS degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred. Three-to-five years of industry sales experience also preferred.
