JOB DESCRIPTION
The Vice President, Administration is responsible for the following shared services departments, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Facility and Asset Services, and Information Technology. This position is a key member of the executive leadership team and collaborates as a strategic business partner for the CEO and functional leaders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources
- Deliver strategic human resource planning to provide the organization with the best people talent available and to position the organization as the employer of choice within the industry.
- Direct all the people functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of the Company and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.
- Design and develop an overall HR strategy to support the broader company strategic plan.
- Assist with the development of organization design and structure required to support the strategy, including roles and responsibilities, job descriptions, and compensation design.
- Oversee the company benefits design and administration.
- Develop performance and succession plans, including annual review and merit processes, leadership talent reviews and succession planning.
- Support the organization through workforce planning, including staffing levels, workforce engagement teams, and policies/procedures and compliance.
- Provide strategic leadership of the Talent Acquisition program.
- Oversee the ongoing Learning and Development program to achieve a high-performance culture.
Facility and Asset Services
- Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight to the entire range of Facility and Asset Services department, whose responsibilities include oversight of the financial components for property and facility planning, design and construction, architectural and engineering services, remodeling programs and projects, building and grounds maintenance, vehicle management, risk management and business insurance, and vendor management.
Information Technology
- Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight of the management and operations of the internal IT infrastructure.
- Responsible for the IT strategic roadmap to support the needs of the functions and business operations.
- Effectively manage the annual IT budget and financial performance for revenue, costs, management processes and increased profit opportunities.
- Hold IT staff accountable for clear metrics, performance goals, and reporting.
Executive Leadership
- Collaborate effectively cross functionally to achieve goals, strategic objectives, and initiatives. Ensuring locations receive the necessary support and services.
- Facilitate with the leadership team the organization’s intentional culture design.
- Support Mergers and Acquisitions integration team in onboarding new businesses.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly lead, supervise, and develop the senior leadership team of Human Resources, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Information Technology and Facility and Asset Services. Ultimately, responsible for each employee in those departments. Maintain systems to measure and evaluate direct reports against established metrics. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Vertin policies and management processes, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, reward and recognition, performance management, and termination. Ensures compliance of employee health and safety.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university; ten plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in HR/organization development. Master’s degree a plus.

- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public required.
- Track record of consistently finding and onboarding A talent.
- Professional certification preferred.

WORK CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, AND ENVIRONMENT
This position will spend time in a professional office setting with moderate noise while sitting at a computer for extended periods of time. This position may be required to travel to locations, Vertin meetings, and conferences approximately 20% of the time. The position will work normal business hours however may need to work early mornings, evening and/or weekends to ensure goals are met.
