“What I especially love is that Vertin intentionally included caregivers in their mission statement, showing how much they value their associates. Each person I have connected with in the organization has helped guide and inspire me in some way. I’ve been provided with amazing mentorship, training, and career development opportunities. If you are interested in growing your career, Vertin is the perfect choice.”

Four months after joining the organization as a Funeral Director, Kasie was offered the option to become a Location Manager. She is trusted to lead her team in a way that best suits the communities they serve. Being part of a network of funeral homes is a key benefit to Kasie, as it allows everyone to easily share resources and support. In the future, Kasie hopes to coach and develop multiple teams within a region.

“I really appreciate how Vertin emphasizes teamwork and collaboration. I also love that I get to be a part of making a difference in the lives of those we serve. It feels great to know we are all working together toward a common goal of helping people.”

Karisa started as an office manager at one of the funeral home locations and is a perfect example of the growth and opportunity Vertin offers its associates. With a degree in graphic design, Karisa transitioned into a marketing role as the need for more design expertise increased. Now, she is responsible for designing the marketing and consumer materials for Vertin and all related affiliates.

Mike and Lara Shea

“Vertin is not what you would picture for a larger organization. Instead of doing things in a cookie cutter fashion, they understand the different needs and unique personalities of each individual location. We’re also encouraged to implement and share fresh ideas. With support and resources always at our fingertips, we can focus on serving families.”

Mike and Lara have enjoyed working together in funeral service for many years. What they find particularly impressive about Vertin is the emphasis on keeping each location in tune with their community. As a location manager, Mike combines organizational direction with autonomous on-site leadership to help his staff and location prosper. Lara, who serves multiple roles at the funeral home, eagerly takes advantage of the opportunities to learn and grow as they continue providing exceptional care to those they serve.
