Edina, Minn. – Jay Dietz, Vice President of Operations at Vertin, is a co-presenter of How to Nurture Your Business & Your Staff Through COVID-19, a webinar hosted by the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA). Part 1 of the webinar was held last week and is now available for viewing on the NFDA website. Part 2, which is still open for registration through the NFDA, will be held on January 28. Dietz is joined by Jamie M. Hasty, Vice President at SESCO Management Consultants, and they are sharing strategies for fostering a supportive workplace and promoting employee engagement while undergoing added stress caused by COVID-19. In Part 1, Dietz and Hasty covered a variety of related topics, including communication techniques, best practices, compliance expectations, and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Part 2 will take a deeper dive into those subjects.
“As a proven leader, Jay understands what funeral professionals need to be successful. Right now, staff are being asked to adapt to changing guidelines, learn new technology, and demonstrate high levels of creativity in serving families,” said Jason Burlage, CEO at Vertin. “Given the strain of additional pressures, it’s imperative that employees always remain our first priority. Jay is passionate about supporting our associates, and anyone participating in this webinar will benefit from his insight during this critical time.”
Dietz began managing funeral homes for Vertin in 1995 and joined the organization’s leadership team in 2013. In his current role, Dietz provides strategic leadership and works to ensure associates have the resources, tools, and support they need by utilizing the Vertin Business System, improving the organization’s ability to provide exceptional experiences.
